The Mohican Farmhouse is a collision of past and present!   From the log bedroom to the guest cottage that once was an outdoor kitchen, over a hundred years of history surrounds you.  Yet you'll find all the comforts of today available from Dish Satellite Television to whole house air conditioning.  The Farmhouse even comes with a backup generator so no vacation is ruined even during a power outage!

Kitchen

The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to prepare and enjoy a family meal.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom offers a king-size bed, large leather chair and TV.

Dining Room

The dining room has an amish built barnwood table with seating for 8.

Bathrooms

A large white farmhouse sink is located in the first floor bathroom.
a walk-in shower is located on the first floor bathroom.

There are two full bathrooms, one on the main floor with a walk-in shower and one on the second floor with a claw tub.

An old fashioned claw footed tub is perfect to soak you troubles away.

2nd Floor Bedrooms

On the second floor, there are three bedrooms, one with a full and a queen bed, a second with a queen bed and the last with a twin trundle bed.  A TV with Satellite cable and  a video game system is located in the trundle bedroom.  The bedrooms are all adjoining so the middle bedroom does need to pass through one of the other two bedrooms to access a bathroom or stairs.

Outdoor Living

A swing and rocking chair is available to relax and enjoy the porch.
Outdoor dining is simple with the easy to access picnic tables.

There is plenty of outdoor living space with the wrap-around front porch, the screened in back porch, the deck and fire pit.  You will find plenty of views of the animals, pond and Mohican Forest,  There is a park-style charcoal grill on the property as well.

Chairs and a Daybed offer ample room to relax on the wrap-around porch.

Optional Guest Cottage

The guest cottage is included when you reserve for more than 10 guests.  It is also available for an additional fee when less than 10 guests are staying (great for families with babies that need extra privacy or for that loud snorer! It features a queen bed, sleeper sofa and 40"TV.

Friendly Farm Animals

There are a few permanent residents at the Mohican Farmhouse that are excited to meet and interact with the guests.  Various food packages are available for purchase so guests can feed the llamas, horse, goats, cats and chickens.  Caretakers visit the Farmhouse grounds at least every other day to tend to the farm animals, so guests do not have to do anything during their stay but relax and watch the animals graze in the pastures.  Caretakers will not disturb the guests, though they will be happy to answer questions and help guests get to know the animals a little better.  We ask that guests do not enter the animal pastures without a caretaker present.

 

The Pond

The large pond is fully stocked with largemouth bass, crappie and bluegill for catch and release fishing.  No fishing license is needed since it is a private pond.  There is a pedal boat for added fun.

The Mohican Farmhouse is located about an hour north of Columbus and 2 hours Southwest of Cleveland at the Mohican State Park, Loudonville, Ohio.
