Great for family and the places around to ski and play in snow.
Very homie place. Had a great time with family staying at this property. I would recommend and use again.

in one word: OUTSTANDING!!
From the time we arrived at the cabin, we were thrilled with what we saw and found. The bedrooms were excellent and the kitchen had everything you will need to grill outside or cook a meal for the family. If it isn't there, you probably don't need it anyway. Called Shane when we got there about the wood burning stove and he came by to give the straight scoop on use and where firewood and tender was. Never had a problem with it. The Christmas decorations were a plus and gave that down home look and feel to the place. Only wish we had more time to spend there but plans just wouldn't allow it. Fantastic place for large families who enjoy the rural feel of a home. Thanks so much for letting us stay at this fantastic place.

Beautiful get-away!
Our stay at Babble Brook Lodge was an excellent get-away for our family, and the stone fireplace was a perfect backdrop for a holiday picture. Many hours were spent in the basement playing pool and watching movies. The five bedrooms were enough to accommodate my husband and I and our three boys and their children, plus the beds were super comfy. We took the 15 minute drive to Mohican State park and had an excellent hike to Lyons Falls and the dam. Babble Brook Lodge was truly a place that I will long remember.

Unlike most rentals, the Lodge at Babble Brook is a completely private, large vacation cabin rental. This authentic log home has six bedrooms, three baths and a large fully-equipped kitchen that easily accomodate 14 guests or more. Located in the beautiful rolling hills of north central Ohio, just outside of Butler, the Lodge is only minutes from Mohican State Park, Pleasant Hill Lake and Malabar Farm. It is also within short distance of canoe liveries, ski resorts, Mid-Ohio raceway and amish country. For those who are looking for the perfect rental, the lodge offers a massive stone fireplace with a real wood-burning stove, fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV and internet, first floor master bedroom with in-suite bath, first floor laundry, a stocked pond (no fishing license required), a fire pit, and a huge private yard. If you are looking to gather with friends, have a family renunion, birthday party, or wedding, we can accomodate your individual needs.

Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with a beautiful over-sized 6 burner range, stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, microwave, electric skillet, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, mixer, dishes, utensils and a wide range of mixing bowls, pots and pans. There is a 60" dining table with two 12" leaves and a large bar.
Master Bedroom
The bedroom on the main level has a queen bed, a flatscreen with DirecTV and a rocking chair. The bedroom also has an in-suite bath with a double shower.
Great Room
The massive stone fireplace that rises from the floor to the ceiling is the centerpiece of the Great Room. From September through April, guests have the option of purchasing firewood to burn in the beautiful wood stove. A huge 65" flat screen TV along with two couches and a chair make a perfect setting to watch movies or the big game. There are towering ceilings that allow views of the loft and make the space feel extra roomy. The windows offer views of the pond and beauitful country hills.
Basement Game Room
The game room in the basement features an 8ft pool table and bar with a 48" TV. There is a sofa, loveseat and reclining chair.
Basement Bedroom
The bedroom in the basement has a twin over twin bunk bed and a queen bed. You can sleep 4 people in this one room! There is also a 42" flat screen with DirecTV.
Bathrooms
The Bathroom on the main level has a tub/shower combo unit. The basement bathroom is a half bath. (There is also the bathroom in the master bedroom making 3 bathrooms total for the house).
The Loft
The loft consists of three private bedrooms each with a queen bed, as well as an open loft overlooking the great room and with a daybed and trundle as an optional fourth bedroom.
Outdoor Living
The 40-foot long front porch is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view of the pond, property and surrounding countryside. A gas grill allows for outdoor cooking. There are table and chairs in the garage that can be set up for 30 guests. The pond is fully stocked for fishing and includes a pedal boat!
